ABOUT ME

I'm Kendall. Nothing brings me more joy than making things. Except maybe, teaching people to make things, which is why I decided to start this blog. I was a family and consumer science (fancy new lingo for home ec) teacher in Florida before having my two boys and deciding to stay home with them full time. My last name happens to be Burns and, I happen to love staying up way too late, working on all my crazy projects. Thus, "Kendall Burns the Midnight Oil" was born! My happy place is anywhere that I can be drinking an ice-cold diet coke (preferably with fresh lime and a few pumps of sugar-free coconut syrup). I recently added a 3rd boy to our little family. He is scrumptiously chunky and amazing but to say, I was hoping for a girl would be an understatement. However, it is nice to remain the Queen bee of my kingdom.
