Easy Halloween Crafts for Preschoolers
My boys, Owen and Graham, are 15 months apart. Yup, you read that right. Learning I was pregnant when my first baby was just 6 months old was quite the shock. When I went to my first doctors appointment (of my second pregnancy) my sweet doctor told me that she had twins, and what I was about to do was much worse. First, I had to make it through the baby stage. Owen didn't walk until he was 16 months old (an entire month after I brought Graham home from the hospital!) A toddler is technically 18-36 months. This was the hardest stage by far! Hence, the reason this post is called "Crafts for Preschoolers" and not "Crafts for Toddlers!" My youngest turned 3, 2 months ago so, life is GOOD! I obviously have always loved my babies. But I LOVE preschoolers! No diapers, fewer tantrums and more logic. We tried many kid crafts. Several of them were total fails. I call these tantrum-causing crafts. But these 3 were all winners!
1. Yarn Spiderwebs- My 4 year old especially loved this one! To start, I stapled the yarn to keep it in place and threaded it through the first hole. Owen (the 4 year old) even understood the concept of threading the yarn through the back of the plate or through the front. Full disclosure: My 3 year old needed quite a bit of assistance but he also doesn't love art projects...

2. Candy Corn Banner- I used pencil to draw circle on my boys paper plates so they would have a guide. After the paint dried, I drew a cutting guide on the backside of the plate. Owen loved cutting, punching holes and stringing the string through!

3. Frankenstein- My boys love using glue so this was a definite hit! I pre-cut all of the pieces and drew the "stitches" on with pencil. They glued and drew over the pencil with black marker.
